Juan Guillermo Mendoza
is a senior associate whose practice focuses on arbitration (both domestic and international under the ICC rules, the rules of the Arbitration Centre of the CCB, UNCITRAL rules and ad hoc proceedings) and litigation (before lower courts, appellate courts, the Supreme Court of Justice and the State Council). His 13 years of experience has been primarily focused on commercial and administrative law, particularly disputes involving construction, oil and gas, mining, energy, transportation, telecommunications, environmental issues, real estate, corporate disputes, insolvency and cross-border litigation, among others. Juan has provided counsel on matters in several Latin American and European jurisdictions, as well as in North America and several Asian countries. A member of the International Bar Association, he has been invited to be an adjunct professor of arbitration at Rosario University’s Faculty of Law in Bogotá and was recently appointed as co-chair and representative of the Spanish Arbitration Club’s under 40 group (CEA-40) for the Americas.
