About Fernando Carreño

Fernando Carreño is the head partner in the competition and antitrust practice at Von Wobeser y Sierra. With almost 20 years of experience in antitrust matters, he has been involved in the most important cartel and market investigations in Mexico. Nowadays, Fernando is involved in more than 60% of the investigations carried out by the Mexican Federal Economic Competition Commission (COFECE). He is also one of the most active attorneys in merger control procedures in Mexico, offering advice both on antitrust and corporate aspects of the transactions. Fernando has broad experience in the negotiation of remedies and avoidance of divestitures in complex merger review cases.
