About Estif Aparicio

Estif Aparicio is a partner at Arias, Fábrega & Fábrega, and head of the capital markets and banking group. He has worked on many of the most complex cross-border financial transactions in Panama in recent years, and has extensive experience in the areas of securities regulation; banking and finance; mergers, acquisitions and joint ventures; antitrust, trade and competition; and taxation.  Estif previously worked for the Panamanian government as chief trade negotiator of all bilateral and multilateral free trade agreements, co-ordinating Panama’s participation in the Doha Round of the World Trade Organization and successfully negotiating free trade agreements with the USA, Singapore and Chile. He also worked for Sullivan & Cromwell LLP in New York.  Estif is admitted to the Bar in Panama and New York, and is currently senior vice-chair of the International Bar Association’s Latin American Regional Forum (LARF).
