About Ryosuke Kono

Ryosuke Kono is a partner at DT Legal Japan who serves on the tax controversy team within the tax and legal department of the Deloitte Tohmatsu group. Drawing on his work experience as a fixed-term officer at the Osaka Regional Tax Bureau, he has engaged in a wide range of tax cases, with a particular focus on international tax. He also has extensive experience with respect to tax controversy, obtaining judgments in favour of taxpayers in some tax litigations – including a landmark case concerning CFC rules. He is a member of the Osaka Bar Association.
