About Jennifer McKenzie

Jennifer McKenzie is a partner in Cassels’ intellectual property group and advises pharmaceutical clients on a variety of matters that affect their branding, marketing and promotional activities in Canada. She has extensive experience in advising on issues relating to the marketing of pharmaceutical products, including name selection under Canada’s lookalike/soundalike policy; contracts with physicians as consultants; the distinction between direct-to-consumer advertising and direct-to-consumer information; and the use of physicians’ prescribing practices under Canada’s privacy law. Jennifer has also adjudicated advertising and marketing disputes between pharmaceutical companies.
