About Garry Ferguson

Garry Ferguson is the managing partner of the Irish office and head of the finance and capital markets group in Ireland. Garry acts for a wide range of financial institutions, investment banks, arrangers, managers, agents, trustees, private equity groups and hedge fund managers. He has served as lead counsel, issuer counsel and trustee counsel on a wide variety of capital markets transactions, including all types of CLOs, CDOs, ABS and MBS deals, catastrophe (CAT) bonds and asset-backed commercial paper (ABCP) programmes. Garry also advises on general banking, secured and unsecured lending, and regulatory matters, and has substantial experience in the areas of restructuring, workout and enforcement of stressed and defaulted deals, having advised on and structured a number of award-winning deals. He is a member of the Law Society of Ireland and was for several years a lecturer and a tutor for the Law Society of Ireland on company law, financial services and on the principles of securitisation.
