About Robert A Friedman

Robert A Friedman is a partner at Holland & Knight formerly with the US Department of State. He addresses legal, regulatory and policy issues involving international trade and investment, government regulation of cross-border transactions and compliance with US laws based on foreign policy and national security. Robert represents clients before the Committee on Foreign Investment in the United States (CFIUS) and the Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency (DCSA) to mitigate foreign ownership, control or influence (FOCI) issues, and advises businesses, entrepreneurs and investors in economic sanctions, export controls, supply chain security and national security regulations. He has served as regulatory counsel in connection with M&A, obtaining national security-related regulatory approvals for foreign investments.
