is a partner and heads the Marine Litigation Department. She was managing partner of the firm between 2008 and 2020. She has practised maritime law exclusively since 1986, dealing with a cross-section of maritime disputes, ranging from ship-building contracts to collisions and from arrests to salvage. She lectures extensively on the subject in Malta and abroad and is the President of the Malta Maritime Law Association. She is a board member of the Malta Maritime Forum and a council member of the European Maritime Law Organisation. Ann is the vice-president of the Comite Maritime International (CMI) and is the CMI co-ordinator at the UNCITRAL Working Group V1, currently working on an international instrument on the international effects of the judicial sale of ships.
