Marko Koski is a senior adviser and specialises in taxation law in the areas of indirect and direct taxation. Marko provides guidance in taxation questions related to M&A and structuring as well as questions related to excise and customs legislation. Previously, Marko worked as a tax director at the Large Taxpayers’ Office where he was in charge of taxation matters and tax audits of the largest Finnish companies. Marko has been involved in the development of the Finnish Tax Administration’s pre-emptive operating models and has particular expertise in assisting clients when they seek binding statements from the Tax Administration regarding various changes to operating models. He has also been involved in the drafting of tax and customs legislation and has acted as the Finnish representative at the OECD and in several working groups of the European Commission. Marko is a member of the International Fiscal Association, Finnish Tax Experts Association and Finnish Venture Capital Association’s tax group.
