Franco Aristotle G. Larcina

His specialisations include competition law, M&A, TMT investments and general business law. Recent projects and work have included advising on Philippine merger filings relating to high-value transactions that have resulted in landmark developments in Philippine competition law. These include advising Sanofi on its Philippine merger filing relating to its acquisition of the consumer healthcare business of Boehringer Ingelheim, which resulted in the first merger clearance having been issued by the PCC after a full substantive review, and advising Alipay of the Ant Financial Group on its Philippine merger filing in relation to its investment in the fintech enterprise of Globe Telecoms, which involved the first Phase II review of a transaction by the Philippine Competition Commission, and was unconditionally approved, and advising Grab in relation to the motu proprio review of its acquisition of Uber’s assets and business in the Philippines, which was the first case of its kind and which was cleared by the based on Grab’s voluntary commitments.
