Hyeon-Deog Cho
is the head of Kim & Chang’s corporate governance and shareholder disputes practice. His practice focuses on corporate governance reform and restructuring, conglomerate and holding company regulations, takeover defence and shareholder activism, as well as various M&A. He represents most of the top-tier conglomerates in Korea. Before joining the firm in 2004, Hyeon-Deog lectured in international business strategy and administration at Seoul National University. He also worked as the head of the business case centre and as the vice president of the Institute for Industrial Policy Studies under the Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Energy.
