Hyung Koo Kang
worked as financial compliance legal counsel for the Financial Supervisory Service from 2002 to 2007 before joining Lee & Ko as a partner in the fintech team. As an expert in financial compliance and fintech, Hyung Koo has advised clients on a wide array of issues involving payment models, internet-only banking licences, insurtech, P2P lending, crowdfunding, cryptocurrencies, blockchains and financial regulatory sandboxes. He is a member of a task-force to amend the Electronic Financial Transactions Act and is also assisting the Fintech Center Korea to evaluate and approve testbed funding applications for financial regulatory sandboxes.
