About Hyungmin Joo

Hyungmin Joo is a partner in the corporate and M&A practice group of Lee & Ko, specialising in cross-border M&A, joint ventures and private equity investments. He has represented both domestic and foreign clients in inbound and outbound transactions, including: Prostar Capital’s acquisition and delisting of Kyungnam Energy (previously a publicly listed city gas company in Korea); BP’s acquisition of controlling stakes in offshore wind projects in Korea (a joint venture with Deep Wind Offshore); and Skylake Investment’s acquisition of a controlling stake in Solus Advanced Materials (formerly known as Doosan Solus). He has also acted as the general outside counsel for a long list of clients, including Bloom Energy regarding its business operations in South Korea, and Korea Hydro and Nuclear Power regarding its outbound investments.
