About Ki Young Kim

Ki Young Kim is a partner at Yulchon and specialises in insolvency & restructuring, M&A and corporate law. He has helped to change the out-of-court restructuring landscape in South Korea through his work advising on all major workout cases in South Korea conditioned to public bonds rescheduling and debt–equity swaps (ie, STX, Dongbu Metal, POSCO Plantech, Hyundai Merchant Marine and Daewoo Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering (currently Hanhwa Ocean) cases, among others). He is recognised as an expert in out-of-court restructuring matters in South Korea. He has served as an officer at the IBA, Insolvency Section, since 2019.
