Catherine Beagan Flood
litigates complex commercial and regulatory cases and defends class actions with a regulatory component. In particular, she defends clients in multiple privacy, antitrust, product liability and consumer protection class actions. Catherine acts as defence counsel and breach coach for clients experiencing a data breach or cybersecurity incident, and is frequently invited to speak on privacy, cybersecurity and access to information issues. She has also been counsel in 18 Supreme Court of Canada appeals. Catherine is a former law clerk to the Chief Justice of Canada, and is currently a member of the Blakes Executive Committee.
