About Zhang Lei

Zhang Lei is a partner in the banking and finance department at Jingtian & Gongcheng. He has been practising law for more than 15 years, and previously worked at a magic circle firm and two top Chinese firms for many years. His practice focuses mainly on banking and finance, including syndicated loans, bilateral loans, acquisition finance, project finance, export credit, disposal of non-performing loans, bankruptcy and insolvency as well as financial regulation and compliance, etc. Mr Zhang regularly advises Chinese banks, foreign banks and corporate clients, and most of his transactions involve a cross-border aspect. He is qualified to practise PRC law and is fluent in Chinese and English.
