About Andrew Willan

Andrew Willan qualified at Payne Hicks Beach in 2013, was promoted to senior associate in 2018 and became a partner in 2020. Andrew specialises in all aspects of media and reputation law ‒ with a particular specialism in the crossover between cyber, privacy and data protection, given his background in commercial disputes. During the past two years, Andrew has been heavily involved in the media and privacy aspects of the family court proceedings between Princess Haya and Sheikh Mohammed. This has entailed advising on numerous media law issues relating to the widely reported finding that Sheikh Mohammed (or those acting at his behest) hacked the phone of Princess Haya and her associates.
