About Ellen Niven

Ellen Niven is an associate in the marine, trade and aviation team at Penningtons Manches Cooper in London, having qualified as a solicitor in 2023. She works on aviation and aerospace insurance matters, with a focus on (re)insurance contentious matters (including terrestrial and space matters). Ellen also works on a broad range of shipping cases, including charterparty disputes, bill-of-lading claims and admiralty claims. Ellen has experience in multiple forums, including London arbitration and the High Court. She is currently involved in the multibillion-dollar aviation insurance litigation arising out of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.
