joined the Tax practice of Baker McKenzie Colombia in 2015. He is a senior associate of the practice group. Before joining the firm, Carlos was a tax lawyer at Ernst & Young from 2007 to 2013 and a senior associate of another leading law firm from 2014 to 2015. Carlos has more than ten years of experience in domestic and international tax planning. He has been involved in several multinational mergers and acquisitions as tax adviser, as well as providing tax litigation and consultancy services. He has advised companies in the oil and gas, renewable energy, retail, pharmaceutics, infrastructure, and banking and finance industries, among others. He was admitted to the Colombia Bar in 2007 and has an LLM degree from the Universidad de Leiden, and postgraduate certificates in tax law, and oil and mining law from the Universidad del Rosario.
