María Angélica Burgos is a partner at Baker McKenzie, where she focuses on international and domestic arbitration and investment law. María Angélica has acted as counsel, arbitrator, and tribunal secretary in complex international arbitrations seated in Latin America, the USA, and Spain. Her experience includes ad hoc proceedings and arbitrations under the rules of ICC, ICSID, UNCITRAL, CIIAM, and others. María Angélica has represented clients in recognition, enforcement and annulment proceedings before Colombia’s Supreme Court. She has participated in the negotiation of international investment agreements on behalf of Colombia. Listed as an arbitrator in Colombia, Costa Rica and Peru, María Angélica teaches and speaks internationally on international arbitration.
