About Silvana Aroca

Silvana Aroca is a senior associate at Baker McKenzie. She focuses her practice on the incorporation, transformation and winding up of companies as well as the structuring and negotiation of mercantile contracts, the implementation and strengthening of good corporate governance systems and the design of strategies for the prevention and resolution of corporate conflicts. Before joining the firm, she was a judge in the Special Company Law Jurisdiction at the Superintendence of Companies and heard matters relating to directors’ liability, piercing the corporate veil, abuse of voting powers and challenging shareholder decisions, among other company disputes. She is a senior fellow of the Ibero-American Institute for Law and Finance, which seeks to promote the interdisciplinary study of law and finance, including corporate law.
