About Carlos Chávez Alanís

Carlos Chávez Alanís is a partner of Galicia Abogados. He is a pioneer in competition and antitrust law in Mexico, being one of the first lawyers to specialise in regulated industries. He frequently represents railway operators and telecommunications carriers in regulatory and antitrust proceedings. He also represents financial institutions in proceedings before banking and securities regulators and competition agencies. In addition, he advises various big pharma players in strategic transactions and represents them in securing antitrust clearance. Carlos also works closely with the energy team on matters involving competition issues in the electricity and hydrocarbons markets. He is a member of Galicia’s innovation & technology and new collaboration model committees.
