Fernando B. Aguirre
is a senior partner at the firm. His key practice areas are: arbitration and conciliation; banking and finance; compliance; contracts; corporate law – M&A; energy; estate and family law; mining and hydrocarbons law; non-profit entities; and real estate. Fernando is a member of the Prospectors & Developers Association of Canada, the Rocky Mountain Mineral Law Foundation, and the World Initiative of Mining Lawyers. As legal advisor to the National Association of Medium Miners, he participated in the negotiations and conversations for the new Bolivian Mining Law, 2014. He is an active participant in the sector, acting as “Sindico” (Comptroller) of Minera San Cristobal S.A. (a Sumitomo-Japan 100% investment in Bolivia), the main private mining producer of Bolivia.
