About Martin Schaefermeier

Martin Schaefermeier is a partner at CLK who practises international trade law with a focus on customs matters. For more than 25 years, he has assisted clients with a wide range of issues, including classification, country of origin, liquidated damages and valuation matters, reciprocal, Section 232, 301 and 201 tariffs, preferential duty treatment under various free trade agreements and programmes, marking requirements, voluntary disclosures, customs audits, due diligence and maritime law (Jones Act). Martin has worked with clients in a wide range of industries, including pharmaceuticals and chemicals, tools, machines/machine tools, textiles, electric motors and appliances.
