Diego Alves Amaral Batista
is a senior associate at Pinheiro Neto Advogados and has been part of the tax team since 2013. His practice primarily focuses on tax advisory and planning, transfer-pricing, and sophisticated transactions such as M&A, corporate reorganisations and project financing in various types of industries – financial institutions, insurance, oil and gas, energy, retail. He also counsels on strategic administrative litigation. Diego holds an LLB degree from Pontifícia Universidade Católica de São Paullo (PUC-SP) and an Advanced Studies LLM degree in International Tax Law from Leiden University, the Netherlands. Batista is the Brazilian correspondent for the International Bureau of Fiscal Documentation (IBFD), based in Amsterdam, the Netherlands.
