About Joanna Russell

Joanna Russell is a partner in the London finance team at Maples and Calder, the Maples Group’s law firm. She is also co-head of the British Virgin Islands (BVI) funds and investment management team. She deals with a wide variety of finance, banking and corporate law matters involving BVI and Cayman Islands companies and partnerships, including public and private mergers and acquisitions, IPOs, joint ventures, debt and equity financings, and real estate, project and asset financings. She also advises BVI investment funds, in particular on the establishment and maintenance of hedge funds and private equity funds.
