About Yoshiharu Usuki

Yoshiharu Usuki is a partner in the competition/antitrust practice at Anderson Mori & Tomotsune. He has extensive experience of defending clients involved in international cartel investigations – in particular, before the Japan Fair Trade Commission and other foreign competition authorities such as the US Department of Justice and the EC – as well as an in-depth knowledge of recent trends in cartel investigation practices in Japan and elsewhere. After obtaining his law degree in Japan, Yoshiharu spent time in the UK, where he earned an LLM in competition law and worked in a major UK law firm’s competition department for one year as a foreign lawyer.
