He specialises on cross-border and domestic mergers and acquisitions, corporate governance, shareholder activism, takeover defence and general corporate and securities law matters. In addition, he has a wide range of experience representing public and private companies as well as private equity firms in cross-border and domestic mergers and acquisitions, including contested mergers and acquisitions and transactions that have been subject to mergers and acquisitions activism. He also has extensive experience in advising listed companies that are subject to shareholder activism, proxy fights and unsolicited takeovers. He was admitted to the Japanese Bar in 2006 and to the New York Bar in 2013.
