About Kenji Utsumi

Kenji Utsumi is a senior partner and ex-chair of Nagashima Ohno & Tsunematsu’s pharmaceutical and healthcare team. His areas of specialisation include pharmaceutical and medical regulations, commercial, licensing and distribution transactions, and M&A. Kenji served as an adjunct professor of law at the University of Tokyo School of Law until 2025. He is a member of the Daiichi Tokyo Bar Association and a supervisory board member at the Tokyo Women’s Medical University.
