About Mami Ikebukuro

Mami Ikebukuro of Nagashima Ohno & Tsunematsu has been at the forefront of a broad spectrum of sophisticated real estate transactions, encompassing investment, finance, and complex deal structuring, since the inception of Japan’s real estate securitisation market. Her experience in the hospitality sector started with Japan’s investment in hotels in the USA, and includes a pioneering investment project in Japan in the late 1990s, and the formation and operation of one of the two hotel-specific J-REITs listed in 2006. She also has substantial expertise in the operational aspects of hospitality projects and her advice extends to structuring new types of projects, including branded residences.
