He regularly advises on multiple power plant projects (conventional and renewable) and their project finance, start-ups and mergers and acquisitions of electrical retail businesses, demand response (DR) businesses and district heating businesses, and wholesale transactions of electricity and gas pursuant to the market regulations, and provides dispute resolution services in connection with energy businesses. In 2015–17, he worked as a deputy director at the secretariat office of the Electricity and Gas Market Surveillance Commission of Japan to support its launch and full liberalisation of the electricity and gas retail markets.
