About Law Chi Kay

Law Chi Kay obtained her Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) from the University of Malaya in 2023 and her Master of Laws (LL.M.) from Kyushu University, Japan, in 2024. During her LL.M., she undertook specialised research on artificial intelligence and intellectual property, including a comparative study of AI-related copyright issues in Malaysia and other key jurisdictions. Her academic interests focus on the intersection of intellectual property and emerging technologies, particularly the study of legal rules to address the challenges posed by AI in a risk society. Chi Kay read in chambers with RDL and was admitted to the Malaysian Bar in February 2026.
