She also advises in the area of unfair competition prevention, particularly on trade secret misappropriation cases, including the investigation thereof and large cross-border litigation. Ms. Shimada graduated from the University of Tokyo (LL.B.) in 1997 and earned an LL.M. from Harvard Law School and an M.P.A. from Kennedy School of Government, Harvard University in 2003. She has been admitted as an attorney in Japan since 1999 and in New York since 2005.
