About Yasunari Sugiyama

Yasunari Sugiyama is a partner in Nishimura & Asahi’s asset finance group and agri-food practice group. In the agri-food practice area, he provides legal services in connection with the introduction of smart agriculture/aquaculture, business expansions (including JV and M&A transactions), business successions, diversification of financing sources, and the development and scaling of new businesses (such as solar-sharing and on-land aquaculture), in each case ensuring compliance with the various laws and regulations applicable to each step in the value chain in the relevant agricultural, forestry and fisheries businesses.
