About Sayaka Ueno

Sayaka Ueno has been an attorney-at-law at TMI Associates since 2007. She holds a master’s degree in pharmaceutical science, with a focus in neuroscience, and is a qualified pharmacist. Sayaka specialises in patent matters, from legal counselling to litigation, and advises on pharmaceutical and healthcare regulations for clients in the pharmaceutical, medical, healthcare, and biotech sectors, both domestically and internationally. She also serves on multiple committees and working groups at Japan’s Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare, including the Expert Committee on Promotion of Whole Genome Analysis (from 2021 onwards).
