About Takuto Kobayashi

Takuto Kobayashi is a partner in TMI & Associates’ shipping team. He advises on various international maritime projects, such as LNG tanker projects, oil tanker projects, offshore projects (including wind power generation), joint-venture, sale and purchase (S&P) transactions and ship arrest. He also advises on sanction regulations, insurance matters and disputes arising from transactions in his areas of expertise. Further areas of focus include charterparties, ship-building contracts, cargo damages and bills of lading, including litigation and arbitration. He graduated from Kyoto University (Japan), and has an MA in maritime law from Waseda University (Japan) and from the University of Southampton (England).
