About Brian Benczkowski

Brian Benczkowski is a partner in Kirkland & Ellis’s government, regulatory and internal investigations group. He has significant government enforcement and investigations experience from multiple government leadership positions, including having served as Assistant Attorney General for the DOJ’s Criminal Division, where he oversaw many of the most wide-ranging complex criminal cases and implemented policy changes related to how the DOJ prosecutes corporations. At Kirkland, Brian represents corporations in government enforcement matters before state and federal entities. He also conducts internal investigations on behalf of clients, represents companies and individuals in congressional investigations and prepares clients for testimony at committee hearings.
