About Jim Hurst

Jim Hurst is a nationally recognised trial lawyer who serves on Kirkland & Ellis’ executive committee. He has been trying cases for more than 30 years and has argued dozens of appeals, including before the US Supreme Court. Jim has represented numerous life sciences clients in matters involving pharmaceutical drugs, biologic drugs, diagnostic products and vaccines. He has significant experience representing clients in matters related to Abbreviated New Drug Applications (ANDA) and the Biologics Price Competition and Innovation Act (BPCIA). Jim is ranked as a Band 1 National Trial Lawyer by Chambers and he is a fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers.
