About Scott Petepiece

Scott Petepiece is the global M&A practice group leader, the Americas M&A team leader and a lead industry co-ordinator for Private Capital at Shearman & Sterling. He has extensive experience in all aspects of public company transactions, including negotiated mergers, unsolicited/contested transactions, topping bids, consortium investments, proxy contests, ‘34 Act reporting, minority investments, activist campaigns and other contentious situations. Scott is also actively involved in advising private equity sponsors, pension funds and state-owned enterprises on all types of transactions, including acquisitions and consortium investments. In addition to his work for clients, Scott is also an adjunct professor at the University of Pennsylvania Law School, teaching a course in cross-border M&A.
