About Hector Chavez

Hector Chavez is a Houston-based litigation and trial attorney. His areas of focus include intellectual property law, commercial litigation and arbitration, cross-border matters, and energy disputes. With an electrical engineering background and research experience in computer language processing, today Hector advises clients on technology issues in various complex litigation and intellectual property disputes. He is an officer of Houston’s Atlas Intellectual Property Inn of Court, was recognised for his 2024 work in litigation, and chairs Steptoe’s Latin American Lawyers affinity group.
