About Lawrence Sannicandro

Lawrence Sannicandro (Larry) focuses his practice on tax controversies, including audits, administrative appeals, investigations and litigation in the United States Tax Court, and US district and appellate courts. He also advises on return reporting positions, refund claims, civil tax penalties and voluntary disclosures. A member of the IRS Advisory Council and fellow of the American College of Tax Counsel, Larry also chairs the ABA Tax Section’s Committee on Court Procedure and Practice. A former clerk to the United States Tax Court and IRS estate and gift attorney, he is known for his strong strategic judgement, technical depth and practical results.
