David McLauchlan is an associate within Fasken’s intellectual property practice group. David advises clients on regulatory, contractual, and intellectual property (IP) matters in the life sciences sector with an emphasis on the pharmaceutical and agri-food industries. He has extensive experience drafting, reviewing and negotiating clinical trial and other research-related agreements, as well as informed consent documents. David is active in the firm’s corporate IP group, performing due diligence reviews and negotiating IP-related terms in the context of joint ventures and mergers and acquisitions. He also provides compliance advice in relation to federal and provincial regulations, as well as professional and ethical requirements.
