About Beth Riley

Beth Riley is a partner in the competition, antitrust and foreign investments group at McMillan. With extensive capital markets expertise, she advises clients on corporate governance, shareholder activism and general regulatory compliance, addressing complex business issues, especially in Alberta’s energy sector. Beth advises Canadian and international clients on anti-competitive business practices and the development of corporate compliance policies, including as related to “greenwashing” and deceptive marketing practices provisions in the Competition Act with respect to representations of benefits to the environment, including the potential impact on businesses and their statements to the public.
