About Jonathan Minnes

Jonathan Minnes is a partner in Gowling WLG’s Waterloo region office, called to the Ontario Bar in 2016, and a member of the firm’s Canadian expropriation law and municipal law groups. He focuses on expropriation, planning, municipal and real estate law, representing private landowners, municipalities and resident groups before municipal councils, Committees of Adjustment, the Local Planning Appeal Tribunal and the Ontario Superior Court of Justice. Jonathan holds an LLB from the University of London and an LLM from the University of Victoria, and is a member of the Waterloo Law Association. His community involvement includes volunteer mediation and pro bono legal service work.
