About Jacob Polowin

Jacob Polowin is a partner at Gowling WLG’s Ottawa office with an established practice in municipal law, expropriation, real estate, commercial litigation and construction law. Called to the Ontario Bar in 2016, he represents developers, municipalities and community organisations in land use planning, development and real estate disputes, the interpretation of municipal by-laws, conflicts of interest and privacy matters, routinely appearing before the Ontario Land Tribunal and Ontario courts. Jacob also teaches municipal and planning law as a part-time professor at the University of Ottawa Faculty of Law. He is a member of the Ontario Bar Association, the County of Carleton Law Association and the Ontario Expropriation Association.
