About Ian Stone

Ian Stone is a director and senior counsel in the Corporate department of Wakefield Quin (WQ). Mr Stone advises on IPOs, public company and capital markets transactions, offshore corporate and partnership structures, project financing, banking transactions, M&A, insurance and reinsurance law, group restructuring and general corporate work. He is non‐executive director for a number of international companies. Prior to joining WQ, Mr Stone was partner at Halliwells in Manchester, UK until 1999, and senior corporate counsel at Appleby in Bermuda until 2004. Mr Stone earned an LLB (Hons) from Sheffield University in 1986 and graduated from the Chester College of Law in 1987. He is a member of the Bermuda Bar Association.
