About Avi Gesser

Avi Gesser is co-chair of Debevoise’s global Data Strategy & Security group and leads the firm’s artificial intelligence practice. He has advised over 100 clients on the adoption of AI. Avi regularly advises boards and senior executives on AI governance, oversight, and risk mitigation and has co-authored over 215 articles on various AI legal issues. Avi is a primary author of the firm’s Data Blog and created the pioneering STAAR program for AI clients. He serves on the Advisory Board of NYU School of Law’s Program on Corporate Compliance and Enforcement and is ranked Band 1 for AI by Chambers.
