About Marloes Brans

Marloes Brans is a partner and the head of Houthoff’s climate risk and sustainability team. She is a renowned specialist in environmental and spatial planning law. She has a combined litigation, advice and transaction practice and is involved in some of the most complex and media-sensitive cases in the Netherlands (eg, for Tata Steel, Schiphol and VDL Nedcar). Marloes has extensive experience in liaising with the authorities, and leads the public law team in due diligence and contract negotiations in M&A and transactions. She regularly publishes on these topics, speaks at national and international conferences, and teaches lawyers and at universities. Marloes is also chair of the environmental law practice group at Lex Mundi.
