About Teófilo de Jesus

Teófilo de Jesus joined VdA in 2018 and works as adviser at the firm’s Dili office. He assists VdA’s main clients and stakeholders, operating in the natural resources, energy, banking and telecommunications sectors. He also assists foreign investors in all matters relevant to their activity in the country. Given his Tetum and Indonesian Bahasa language skills, Teófilo is an indispensable member of VdA’s operation in Timor-Leste. He is currently preparing for his admission to the Timor-Leste Bar Association. Teófilo is also a Professor of Civil Law at the National University of Timor Lorosa’e (UNTL), and is currently concluding his master’s in law.
