About Paula Bäckdén

Paula Bäckdén holds a PhD in maritime law and specialises in maritime and transport law, including dispute resolution and commercial agreements, including litigation in civil court and arbitration, sale and purchase of ships’ contracts, charter parties and management contracts, and has special knowledge in insurance law assisting clients in insurance disputes, particularly within marine insurance. Paula Bäckdén is president of the Swedish Maritime Law Association and as such she is the Swedish representative in the GA of the Nordic Offshore and Maritime Arbitration Association. Paula Bäckdén is appointed Dispascheur of Sweden, settling marine insurance disputes as well as general average.
